Norwegian manufacturing experienced an increase of 2.3 per cent from September to November 2006 when compared with the previous three-month period, according to seasonally adjusted figures. All main groupings, except energy goods, contribute to the rise.

Oil platforms and fabricated metal products continue to increase in the period from September to November 2006, 2.9 and 3.4 per cent respectively, compared to the previous period. Only electrical and optical equipment experienced a decrease in the last three-month period.
