Welcome to North Park, home of The Sweden Shop and North Park University

Meet at 6 pm at The Sweden Shop, 3304 W. Foster Ave., Chicago, 60625 for hors d’oeuvres (including Toast Skagen, herring, meatballs, and a selection of mini-smørbrød with cheese, meat, or fish). Beverages include beer, wine, akvavit and Kristian Regale non-alcoholic sparkling juice. NACC business member Patti Rasmussen will welcome us to the North Park neighborhood and introduce her business. As members of the NACC, a 15% discount is offered for purchases this evening. We will be joined by North Park students from Norway.

At 7:15 pm we will walk across Foster Avenue to the Johnson Center at North Park University, to the Board Room, JC 325, where Professor Chad Eric Bergman will welcome us to the university. Students from Norway will introduce themselves. Charles Peterson, Dean Emeritus, will present the history of North Park University with archival photographs.

Parking is available on Foster Avenue after 6 pm, on neighborhood streets, or in the North Park University lot on Kimball Ave just south of Foster. Enter the parking lot from the alley just south of the Shell station on the corner of Foster and Kimball. This lot is the closest to the Johnson Center.
